The Republic of Cyprus occupies the southern part of the island of Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean. Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and the full member of the EU. In line with the Cyprus government’s intent to attract international expatriates, the Ministry of Interior has recently simplified the procedure for issuing residency permits to non-EU nationals who wish to work in Cyprus. A residency permit can be obtained through work permit with the possibility to work extramurally

Requirement from the Individual Applicant
- Clear copy of valid passport
- 2 passport size photos (jpeg format)
- Contract of employment signed and sealed from the stamp registrar
- Original criminal record certificate from the country of origin or country of residence
- Original certificate of health insurance and medical certificate issued from the country of origin or country of residence
- Diploma duly attested by Apostille
- Curriculum Vitae
Note: The permit is granted primarily for 2 years. Subsequent renewals are for 2 years. The applicant will be obliged to visit Cyprus every 2-3 months, i.e. not to stay outside of Cyprus for more than 90 days.
